What is "FairMUN"?
FairMUN is an event hosted by Fairview International School. This event is a Model United Nations (MUN) event, consisting of multiple councils that simulate real MUN councils. The councils then debate on real-world issues such as creating a usable framework for the use of drones. Each council consists of delegates (participants) which represent a different country and the views and stance of that country. The event allows for participants to be more open to the events that take place throughout the world, while also increasing personal attributes such as public speaking, and creative thinking. The event also allows participants to understand the overall situation and hardships that take place within the real UN council.​
Lumen Scientiae:
In a world where so many of the things we know are deemed to be fake, true knowledge can be the guiding light in this world of fallacies. The more we learn about the world around us, the more heightened our understanding of our environment becomes. Knowledge can act as the means to show us what our world really encompasses, and allows us to split the true from the untrue.
With the ideals and the outlook that many philosophers of the enlightenment brought forth, we also expect our delegates to expand their horizons, question what they know, and try and bring light upon their worlds, so they too can experience enlightenment.
Question everything, accept newfound truths and shed your light upon the world.
