What is 'FairMun'?
FairMUN is an event hosted by Fairview International School. This event is a Model United Nations (MUN) event, consisting of multiple councils that simulate real MUN councils. The councils then debate on real-world issues such as creating a usable framework for the use of drones. Each council consists of delegates (participants) which represent a different country and the views and stance of that country. The event allows for participants to be more open to the events that take place throughout the world, while also increasing personal attributes such as public speaking, and creative thinking. The event also allows participants to understand the overall situation and hardships that take place within the real UN council.
What is 'AEQUUM VISO'?
Our mission in FairMUN is to provide experiences – for amateurs or professionals – that could bring awareness towards the world around us. 'Aequum Viso' refers to the equality within society; whether it be gender equality, racial equality or social equality. We therefore aim to open different perspectives and views to our esteemed delegates and chairs about the real life matters that has yet to be solved. We welcome new participants who are full of potentials to be the next problem-solver and analysts that could pave new ideas and solutions.
